Tuesday Time with Tucker

Hi everyone. Tucker here. Lately I've been using my valuable Tuesday computer time to poke fun at my little brother Oscar. Apparently, he is a little disgruntled with me and is right now, as we speak, plotting his revenge. I'm a little worried because he can be a wily little dude at times. I have seen a lot of emails from the ACME company lately. Tinkerbell tells me that I should watch my back at all times. I've tried that but I just get dizzy going in circles trying to keep my eyes looking at my back. Tinkerbell just laughs at me. She is no help at all.

So, since I am busy with my eyes, I thought you might like to see some really cool visuals with your own eyes. Not a whole lot of work involved either. All you need to do is to go to Google images and type in "Photoshopped Animals". That's it. Trust me when I say that you will laugh at all the crazy animals that have been created by some very talented graphic artists.

Have fun and if you want to see some more funny stuff, check out the photoshopped celebrities. They are hysterical!

Catch you later!
Tucker

Weekly recap and PugFair

Wow - what a week!

I feel like I have been put through the ringer. My vocal talents, dog park enthusiasm and love of toys have been focused on and made an example of by Tucker. Totally not cool! Remember, I know where you sleep. I refuse to get mad. I will just plot and plan my revenge. Make sure you sleep with that one eye open little buddy. You're gonna need to.

Now, on to better things.

You might have noticed this button on my sidebar. Hopefully, you have clicked on it and gotten all the information about PugFair. For those of you that haven't, let me give you the scoop.

You are all invited to PugFair 2009 on Saturday, Oct. 3 at Stonelick State Park from 10am-4pm. This event is not just for Pugs. It is open to ALL doggies but the event proceeds benefit Ohio Pug Rescue. Our mom is going to have a booth set up with her treats available. I am sooooooo excited!

PugFair will feature food, vendors, micro-chipping, nail clipping, children's games, music and even a pug kissing booth! The coolest of all is that there will be a costume contest and parade! Plus, if your dog likes water, they can swim in the lake or take a nice hike through the park.

I hope to see some of my friends there and am looking forward to making lots of new ones so come one, come all for a fun-filled day!

Nothing is ever what it seems

It's raining outside - not much to do today except eat, sleep and play with toys. Sounds pretty uncomplicated, especially since I am an uncomplicated kinda guy, but the simple act of playing with a toy is really not as simple as it seems.

Exhibit A:
Me... minding my own business chewing on a bone.

Exhibit B:
The crazy little vulture brother of mine waiting in the wings to swoop down and steal my bone when I least expect it.

Oscar always wants what everyone else has. Life should be simple. Instead, I have to watch over my toys like a bear watches over her cubs. Gotta always sleep with one eye open. Playing with my toy is never as simple as it may seem.

Wordless Wednesday - Dog Park Photos

Our sincerest apologies regarding the quality of the photos. They were taken with a cell phone camera. You will still be able to see the happiness and fun on our faces.

We love this place!

What a bunch of lucky dogs we are to have such a nice dog park so close to our home.

Tuesday Time With Tucker

Tucker here.

"Tuesday Time with Tucker" is actually not about me today. I know, shocker, right? Today is all about his royal whinyness Oscar. I had video shot when we went to the dog park this weekend. I will share with you all what we have to go through every time we ride in the car - even to go to the greatest place on earth, the dog park.

Listening to Oscar whine the whole 3 miles to the park is like getting neutered all over again. Here is 32 seconds of excrutiating and down-right painful noise. Practically makes my ears bleed!

Just thought I would share with all of you.
Heck, what are friends for, right?
Now you can all feel my pain.

Game Time

Today I would like to teach you how to play one of my most favorite games that I invented. I call this game, "Get Momma's Nose".

This game is really easy if you have a long snooter and a tongue as long as a giraffe's. And that's me!

Here's how you play.

When your mom is laying on the floor you burrow under her arms and nip and lick at her nose.

Then you run around her like a dog on crack and burrow under the other armpit and nip and lick.

Continue doing this until she is laughing so hard she cries, "Uncle". Bonus points are awarded each time you are able to get a good lick on her teeth or into her mouth while she is laughing.

There you have it! That's how you play "Get Momma's Nose". Guaranteed to make you a super happy dog and I bet you will even get a great belly rub out of the deal.

Hey Mom - Nice roots! Time to get those touched up!

9.9.09

We hope you enjoyed your day yesterday.
How exciting... 9.9.09.
That's a lot of nines!

We decided since all those nines were so cool together, we would offer up our own tribute to the number 9.
Ready?... Here goes!

• NINE TENNIS BALLS - ready to be slobbered on and de-fuzzed.

• NINE TRIPS OUTSIDE TO WATER THE LAWN - we drank lots of water.

• NINE NON-STUFFED TOYS - Oh, how we wish we could de-stuff them.

• NINE CHEW TOYS - ready to be chewed on, of course.

• NINE WRESTLING MATCHES - Tucker won every time!

• NINE SPECIAL HUGS AND KISSES - to our favorite kids, of course.

Well, that's our list and tribute. Not a bad job (if we say so ourselves). How about you? Tell us about your nines. We'd love to hear what you come up with.

We were given some awards also and haven't gotten around to posting about them yet. Don't worry, our friends. We haven't forgotten your generosity. We promise to post them very soon.

Back from our hiatus

Hi friends. We're back from our on-and-off hiatus. It wasn't our choice to take a hiatus but when you rely on your people to log you onto the internet so that you can blog and they are "too busy" well....

(Note to self: when we get to heaven, ask God why he didn't give us thumbs)

We have been super busy even with our kids back in school. Mom has started to tackle a few things on the "honey-do" list even though her honey isn't doing anything to help. She was finally able to tackle the office/computer/meditating/where they keep our kennels/time-out room. It has been in serious need of a new paint job.

We decided that since we weren't doing a whole lot of anything else that we would help. Thank goodness we were there for her.

Tucker made sure that her drop cloth didn't go anywhere. Tinkerbell layed in the middle of the room. I stayed under the desk so I could keep an eye on things and point out spots that she missed.

We know we were huge helps cause she kept telling us how excited she was to have all of us in the room with her so that she would have to constantly be stepping over us. The room is now a lovely shade of grey (I guess it helps being color blind).

Two trees have also been cut down and chopped up. Two more stumps for me to lift my leg on! The wood has been stored on the side of the house for now. We weren't allowed to help with that project. The chain-saw thingy was just way too loud!

Mom has also been spending a lot of time in the recliner in the evenings whining to anyone in general about being old and something about muscles not being used in a while. We've got her taken care of though. I lay next to her pushing her rump further into the side of the recliner. Tucker lays by her feet on the leg of the recliner, making sure to leave her very little room to put her legs and Tink lays under the recliner. When she starts complaining about not having any room, we tune her out with the dulcet tones of Tinks snoring.

A dogs job is never done. She is so lucky to have the three of us.

Later - Oscar

Wordless Wednesday

Pride Rock

Even though this is supposed to be a Wordless Wednesday post, we just wanted to make sure you all noted how Tucker is sitting on the arm of the chair. Yes - that really is his back leg hanging off the arm. The boy just doesn't do anything normal. At least he is catching himself a really nice sunbeam to sit in.

School is back in session

Our kids are back in school..... sigh.

That's the reason we didn't post every day last week. We were too busy getting our kids ready for school. Our little girl got to ride the big yellow bus for the first time on her way to first grade. It was really exciting seeing her with her backpack waving and smiling.

Our days are going to be lonely without them. The boys plan on practicing their wrestling moves to pass the time. I think I am going to have to find a nice sunbeam to lay in and catch a wink or two until I hear the rumble of the school bus coming up the road.

We sure do miss our kids when they are gone.
