More Praying Mantis Fun

We're so glad everyone like the photo yesterday of Taz and the praying mantis. This epic battle raged for at least half an hour. We're not quite sure how it ended since they took the match under the deck. We heard a lot of scuffling going on. We kept yelling at Taz to "run away! She wants to eat your head!" But he just wouldn't listen to us. The mantis got a couple good licks in on Taz' nose too! What was even more funny was when our girl was taking pictures, the praying mantis actually turned and started walking toward her! She was after her head too! Good thing Taz was there to divert the mantis' attention back to himself.

Here's a few more pictures of the battle.

Taz looks a lot like our Clara. Do you think he was upset that the mantis broke into his nap time?

Gotta love kitty faces when they're staring at crawly things.

These pics remind me of the grasshopper that was in my yard the other night - I freaked out, and Marge wondered what the heck was wrong with me.

You really snapped some super shots of that mantis. I think you should get them published somewhere.

What a beautiful kitty you are. We have 2 house kitties just like you, Gidget and Lola, and now a third little lost sole we are feeding and hope to add to the family. All three are brown tigers and very similarly marked.
