Lucky Friday

Who knew how wonderful today was going to be when we woke up this morning. The day started out as usual... Oscar had to pounce on top of Mom to wake her up. Tink stood next to the bed heavy breathing in Moms face and Tucker huffed in her face, just for good measure.

The old girl finally lugged herself out of bed to take us outside to tackle our morning ritual of "watering the lawn." We made our way off our deck into the lawn when we all put on the brakes. It was like we were a doggie train piling into each other.

Overnight a town was built in our yard!

Mom told us to stay back and take care of business in another part of the yard but our curiosity was piqued. What were these things and who built them?

As we were walking back toward the house, something shiny caught our eye. We've heard stories but could it actually be true? Was there really a leprechaun and a pot of gold in our backyard?

As quick as a flash that sparkle was gone. The town remains so we are going to keep our eyes open for the return of the little man in tights. Mom said she is going to buy a lottery ticket, just in case.

Later, after Mom had drank half a pot of coffee and was checking her emails she came across this. Some of the coolest kids on the block, Life with Dogs, have given us their illustrious "Gold Hydrant Award". These crazy kids from Vermont make us laugh so hard our tummies hurt! We are humbled and thank you guys so much for thinking of us.

What a wonderful way to slide into the weekend.
We are some truly lucky dogs. We're hoping that all of our friends have a little bit of luck this weekend too. Be safe!
