It is time.This weekend we are going on our annual trip to Kentucky to pick blackberries! Not just any blackberries... thornless ones so we don't hurt our little paws.
We love picking blackberries!
Our family makes jelly, jam and cobbler with them. They are even good with vanilla ice cream! Last year we picked 215 pounds of blackberries. Wonder how many we will pick this year.

The furry nice people she took Fenway to on Sunday gave her a big big big honkin' bukhket of 'em!

Mom misses picking blackberries so much! You could fill buckets of them back in PA where she grew up.
Mmm, I used to make a blackberry crumble pie out of the blackberries I would pick out behind our house in New York. It was scrumptious.
We planted blackberries out here and the rabbits and squirrels at them all. Stupid rabbits and squirrels.
I'm thinking blackberry pie a la mode!
