Round #5

Economic Survival. Layoffs. Downsizing. Job Market. Recession.

These are all words we hear a lot in our home. Since we are merely dogs, we're not quite sure what all of it means but we do know that our kibble and treats rely on it. We live in Ohio and apparently our state isn't in a very good condition right now. There are a lot of people who have been layed off and are looking for jobs. That means there are lots of dogs losing their kibble.

There's an old saying that if mom's not happy, no one's happy. This old saying rang true for us last week... all because of these ugly words we hear a lot.

Our mom works full-time outside of our home. Our kibble depends on that. Well, a week and a half ago, our moms company went through round #5 of layoffs (in less than a year). 100 more co-workers lost their jobs. So sad.
Our mom survived the cut - yeah! We will be able to eat!

We know you are a bunch of smart cookies and know what all this means.
MORE WORK FOR MOM!
Last week was a nightmare for her. She was crazy-busy taking on the work of two others who didn't make the cut. She is very organized so we know she will get the
chaos under control but WOW! What a week! We hardly had any computer time and have missed a lot of what our friends have been up to. Time to get back on track!

Life can truly be rough some times.

We have learned that when times get tough

and life has you down,

you must find the strength to rebound and make your way back to the top.

It has been waaaaaay too long since we visited and glad we did today, for your mom needs some shoring up, that's fur sure. She must be a very good employee to survive 5 rounds of horrid layoffs and we are very sorry she's going through these tough times. We are keeping paws crossed for her and also that you keep getting kibble, of course.
Hugs xo,
Sammie

Glad your Kibble is safe for now! So scary! Sad for all of the folks laid off, hopefully this will end soon. I never thought about how the layoffs mean more work for the people who are left. I guess it is better than the alternative. ALl those laid off people now have less money to spend to keep other people working such a horrible cycle! hang in there!

Sooo very happy your mom is still working. It makes life a bit easier to get through.... let's all keep our paws crossed for no more layoffs! We need our kibbles and treats! I say we all get together and pass around a petition so that there be no more layoffs.

Smooches and hugs! XOXO

Gosh! It sounds like a tough week. We just went through that too. There were 4 people in Momma's dept and they let 2 of them go. Now it is just Mom and her boss. I understand how stressful it is wondering about kibbles. I'm glad neither of us has to worry too much for now.
Love and hugs,

Paws are crossed here too, so sad. We do not have quite the problem in Arizona, but it is still not great here either. We are sending strength to your Mom.
