Life's little subtleties

EXHIBIT A:
The Kitchen

EXHIBIT B:
The empty food bowel strategically scooted to be smack dab in the middle of the kitchen so that it cannot be missed - sure to cause someone to trip over it.

EXHIBIT C:
The overweight wiener dog

Tinkerbell & Tucker:
Oscar, dude. No matter how many times you scoot your bowl around the kitchen, Mom is NOT going to put more food in it. Look at you! You like like you're prepped and ready to be spun over a fire. The only thing missing is the apple in your mouth.

Oscar:
[Heavy sigh] Can't blame a guy for trying.

Heheheheh ... definitely look stuffed! Which is a very common look in our neck of the woods - esp amongst us basset hounds. The Chief has been making us take long walks ... Gruff! The weather's much too warm to do anything that physcially strenous!

I love the post title - because there is nothing subtle about the evidence!

AWWW OSCAR if my mom was there, she'd make sure you had food in your bowl. She loves porky dogs :) and skinny dogs (as you can see by lookin' @ me) how do you keep weight like that I'm having a hard time getting fat...

Oscar, I've found that if I just continue to lick the bottom of my empty bowl, sometimes a certain person takes pity and puts a little something in there... not a lot, but enough to tide me over for another five minutes or so.

Momma told me that reminds her of Max that she used to have. He would put his front paws in the bowl and fling it across the kitchen. Thanks for a great post and a great memory! ~Twix

You're lucky Oscar doesn't know how to write or he'd probably be sending letters to dog protective claiming that he's starving ...

The bowl pushing happens along with picking up and dropping the bowl at my feet & barking at the food bin.

Persistant little buggers. :-)

Heee, that's so funny...and very cute pic! Gabbi pushes the water bowl around the kitchen when it's empty....it works, stainless stell scraping across stone tiles, not a nice noise, someone ALWAYS gets up to fill it within seconds!
We were reading your post about ticks. We get ALOT in the summer, (even when treated with Frontline) they like the heather and so do we. We have a really cool thing called an O-Tom, it works great but Mum likes your tip about the soap :D
Have a great weekend!

Good how they always try to convince you that they are starving!

I find that if I return to my empty bowl and lick it at hourly intervals, Gail's stern resolve sometimes cracks!
Cheers! Hamish.

Mom now picks up our bowls after we eat because Tanner would do the SAME THING!
