Lucky Friday
TGIF!!!
We made it to the weekend! What a great week we've had. Looking forward to spending as much time with our family, putting up the holiday decorations, etc. Our mom has entered to be in a gingerbread house contest with Houses of Hope, benefitting Shriners Burns Hospital for Children. We will be working on the house this weekend and turning it in next week. We highly suggest taking the family to see all the creations. You get to vote for your favorites too! Visit the link above for all the information. Some of these houses are incredible! Here is our entry last year....
This was the first gingerbread house our family has EVER made!
Have a safe and happy weekend!

After the Storm
Let me interrupt your nap with this quick post...
Well, Thanksgiving dinner has come and gone. Change of plans in our schedule. Our family was supposed to go to Grandma's house via over the river and through the woods but Grandma got sick so the meal and all the attendees were moved to our house. What a house full of people - we loved it! Our people have feasted and feasted and feasted some more. The living room looks like the after-math of a slumber party with bodies laying everywhere and the tv blaring football in the background. Seems like everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day. We hope you enjoyed yours. Being together with family is what the holidays are all about.
Now, back to your previously scheduled nap.

Oh Happy Day
Sometimes, the littlest things can brighten a day. During this "Thanks"giving season, we find that we have soooooo much to be thankful for. We are three very lucky dogs and we know how much our people love us.
One of the little things that we are thankful for are baths. I know that sounds crazy, but it's true. Last night, we all got a bath. Good thing we don't mind getting them. (Tucker likes to lay down in the tub. Tink and I prefer to stand.) We are the cleanest and best smelling dogs around - which is a huge feat considering Tucker loves to be dirty! We all ran around the house like a bunch of crazies afterward. It was so fun! Our cleanliness makes our family happy and we all got a little extra lovin' last night. So, during this holiday season, we are thankful for baths.
Here is Tucker being a crazy man after his bath. What a nut!

Suma Mail
We are so excited that Thanksgiving is almost here. Oh, the smells... (sniff, sniff, sigh...)
Hot off the email! Our good friend Suma just sent us a picture of his new toy. Have no fear, that's not your holiday turkey he is playing with but it is fowl. It is his new duck and he loves it! It quacks and even has a rope attached to it for a game or two of tug-of-war (one of our faves!)
Our mom has a treat named after Suma. They are her Suma Wrestlers... bacon heaven! Remember, Thanksiving dinner is for our people, not for us. Be safe this holiday season and make sure to only eat "dog-friendly" foods and treats. Need a suggestion, just ask us. We can give you a few...

Lucky Friday
We are so lucky to have our family. This is who we live to please.
Aren't they the best group of kids you've ever seen?
(BTW, Tucker is AWOL in this picture.
I'm sure he was camped out by the food bowl eating again!)

Our mom and her wonderful treats have been written about in Cincy Magazine.
We're so proud of her! Lots of licks and kisses from us!
(Did we mention that we think she makes the BEST treats ever?!?)

Do you Dogpile?
Search on Dogpile.com and help rescue pets.
They are on a mission to help pets in need. Search the Web on Dogpile.com and they will donate a portion of revenue generated to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA®).* The more you search, the more they will rescue. It’s that simple. Their goal is to raise $1 million for pet rescue by the end of 2009.

Monday Funnies
Friends of ours raise pygmy goats & miniature horses plus they own horses, llamas, cats, dogs and chickens. One of their pygmy goats loves to stuff hay into her horns. She thinks she's beautiful.
What do you think?
We think she's funny!!!

We have a new cousin!
We are so excited - a new cousin to play with! Deuce and Tillie, our Boston Terrier cousins, now have a new sister. Her name is Belle and she is beautiful! She was rescued from a farm that no longer wanted her. She is now up to date on her vaccines and was spayed last week. We can't wait for a play date! She is a very lucky dog and will be absolutely happy and extremely spoiled in her new home. Everyone, meet Belle!

Lucky Friday
We decided that we are three of the luckiest dogs around to live the life that we do. We are well loved, always fed, always clean (well, not always Tucker), always receive our vet check-ups, have the best toys and are given the best treats.
Life is pretty good for us but it's not always so good for our other four-legged friends. During the holiday season, even though money and budgets are tight, make sure you remember to give to your local shelter. They are always in need of supplies to care for the pets they shelter. You can choose to click and give at The Animal Rescue site or locate your local shelter. They are always in need of volunteers too! This season, give a little. Our Tinkerbell is a rescue dog and proud of it!

We've joined a play group
We've recently joined a new play group - friends from all over the world! We are #1030. Check us out! It's wooftastic! Dogs With Blogs
Family
Guess who we saw this past weekend? One of our favorite cousins, Tillie! She and her brother Deuce are Boston Terriers. Deuce spent the day at home but we got to play with Tillie. It's always fun to wrestle, have a good game of tug-of-war and snuggle with the ones you love. Our mom makes a treat just for Tillie. It helps her kidneys and is easy to digest and she even named them after her: Miss Tillie's!

Bane of our existence
To say that something or someone is "the bane of my existence"
means that the person or thing is a constant irritant
or source of misery.
"Bane of my existence" has lost its edge to a large degree
over the years,
and today is most often applied to something
that may profoundly annoy us but is certainly bearable.
Meet the bane of our existence...

Rabbit Poo
We are obsessed with the wild rabbits that live in our neighborhood and are compelled to eat their poo. WE LOVE IT!
We love to chase each and every one that dares to venture into our back yard. It's our turf, not theirs. We are the ONLY ones allowed to frolic in the falling leaves and our mom's flower beds. We are the ONLY ones allowed to roll on the soon-to-be-dormant grass and play with the leaves blowing through the yard. So why do they think they can hide under our deck and run out when we least expect them to? That frightens us (well, us boys, not Tink. She is always brave). They are bigger than us!
We have decided that the only good thing about a rabbit is their poo. Mike Rowe on Dirty Jobs would disagree be we think it is delish and we can't get enough of it!
Well, time to head outside. Like Elmer Fudd always says, "We're hunting wabbits!" - Oscar and Tucker

Get Out There And Vote!
Halloween
Tinkerbell here. It seems to be my turn to make a post to the blog. So, I want to know whose big idea it was to dress pets up for Halloween. My people didn't take us out trick-or-treating because the boys were already so scared. (Neither one of them are very brave - sorry Tuck and Oscar). But they did dress us up in some silly costumes, laugh hysterically and take pictures of us. (Check out the pictures)
Tucker had to wear a t-shirt with a cup cake on it. He's a boy! Boys don't wear cupcakes. (I must say though, he did look rather cute. It was the perfect colors for him).
My costume wasn't too bad. I got to wear a Santa hat bandana that my grandma made for me. I look ready for Christmas!
Now, about Oscar's outfit. What were they thinking? They dressed him up as a hotdog in a bun but his outfit looked more like floatation devices than buns. Even I had to snicker when I saw him! My people humiliated him long enough to change his outfit into his new t-shirt that reads, "Waiting for Santa".
Like I mentioned, we didn't go out for candy with our people because the boys were too scared. My people were kind enough to sit outside in the driveway to hand out candy so I wouldn't have to have a barking fit every time the door bell rang. Aren't they the best?!?
The night ended wonderfully for us because we were treated to some iced peanut butter bones that were decorated in Halloween colors. We are the luckiest dogs around! Our mom makes the best treats ever!
