Lucky Friday

We've had another crazy, fun-filled week that was also filled with sadness. Our friend Bogart's dad passed over the rainbow bridge. Everyone in the DWB has been effected by Klaus, Lulu and Bogart. This is a very sad time for them but we know they have received lots of prayers and well wishes from all the dog bloggers and their families.

So, why are we lucky? We are lucky because we are alive to see another sun rise with those we love the most... our family.

Rest in peace Klaus.

Great Big Dogs

My story begins like this...

Last night, our mom had a volleyball game and she didn't get home until 10:45pm. I was the only one awake to perform the "Hi! Welcome Home! Sniff, sniff, lick, lick!" ritual. The boys were sleeping soundly. Some watchdogs they are.

I met mom at the door, performed the ritual and followed her to the kitchen. After lots of head rubs from mom and tail wags from me, she grabbed the leash and headed toward the back door.

Alright! We're going for a walk.
She put the leash on me, opened the door and....

HOLY MOLY - THE BIGGEST DOGS I'VE EVER SEEN ARE IN MY BACK YARD!!!

I hit the brakes. I was stunned. My legs were frozen in place. I couldn't even bark. Our whole back yard was nothing but big dogs with shiny yellow eyes staring back at me. Twenty feet away were at least 6 sets of eyes glaring at me and my mom.

I quickly sized them up and backtracked into the house. I decided now was not the time for a little jaunt in the back yard.

Without passing go and collecting $200, I grumbled a few muffled barks, headed upstairs to my girls room and went straight to bed. The boys are never going to believe this! If rabbits scare them, I can only imagine what they would do if they ever ran into these guys!

Stinky, dirty boy

Yep. Bath time... again.

We haven't figured out why he likes to be this way but Tucker seems to always be a stinky, dirty boy. He hates to be clean and rolls in and eats everything he can that is smelly. Every week he is getting thrown into the bath tub and scrubbed.

Oscar: Make sure you scrub him down really good!
He's smelly!

Here's my poor, pitiful face.

Oscar: Me and the toy horse are here for you buddy. Hang in there!

Tuckerasaurus. Like my mohawk?

Make sure to clean his eyes.

The Rubdown or the Calm Before the Storm

The Storm! Mad dog running through the house!

Make sure I roll around and try to get the clean smell off my fur.
I want to be dirty again!

Listen to me grunt and growl. I hate to be clean!

Our Excitement Is Short Lived

A KANDLE FOR KLAUS

Our Monday excitement has quickly come to a halt. Those of you that have been following or have heard about Bogart's dad will be saddened to learn that he has passed. We are so very sorry to hear this news. We are thankful that the hospital staff realized the love Bogart and his dad shared and allowed them to visit in the hospital. Our prayers go out to Bogart and his family.

We're Winners

Look at us! We have been humbled once again.

They like us! They really like us!

Blog Awards Winner

We'd like to thank our managers (mom and dad) and our personal assistants (our kids) for making this award possible. Without the use of their computer, we would not be able to efficiently run our blog.

(We give no kudos to that crazy cat Taz. We're trying very hard to forget his blog hacking ways.)

We'd like to thank our followers and fans of our blog. You're following keeps us blogging whenever all we really want to do it nap. We're sure there are a million other animals/people we should be thanking but we are simply way too excited and cannot remember.

Most importantly... does this award come with treats?

We need naps now.
