Spring if finally here and Remembering an old friend

First of all...
HAPPY SPRING!!!
We know every dog is looking forward to warmer weather. Our friends down under are enjoying their last days of warm weather before winter sets in. So, may today be a delightful day for every dog!

The other day, our mom saw a doggie that reminded her of her dog b.t.o.t. (before Tink, Oscar and Tucker).

Years ago, our family had a dog named JR. What did JR stand for? Absolutely nothing. Apparently they thought that was funny.

JR was a tank of love. He was an English Bulldog who crossed over the rainbow bridge too early in his life. When JR was two years old, he developed a few hot spots on his chest. The vet treated them with antibiotics and they got better. Then they got worse... The vet treated them with antibiotics and they got better. Then they got worse... The vet treated them with antibiotics and they got better. Then they got worse... Get the picture? This went on for a year. Finally, he was sent to a specialist because the vet could not prescribe any stronger antibiotic. Sad news. He actually had cancer and was full of tumors inside. Never once did he complain or act uncomfortable. He was always a trooper.

JR is the reason my mom started her
dog treat business. She always wondered if something JR ate added to or caused the cancer. So, everything she makes is all natural and organic. No chemicals in this house!

Here's a picture of the old boy.

Let the Madness Begin

March Madness is finally here!
I am patiently awaiting the games to start.

Who should I root for to go all the way?

Have you filled out your bracket yet?

The unanimous choice in our house is...

Who are you cheering for?

Dog Parkin' It

What a day yesterday! Too much green! It's gonna take us till next year to recover from all the dancing, eating and drinking! WHEW!

While we are recovering, we will tell you about our trip to the dog park on this past Sunday.

The weather was wonderful and it showed by the outpouring of dogs and their owners at the park. Talk about a full house! It was so crowded that the boys had to go to the small dog area and Tink had to go to the big dog area. There was so much sniffing going it, it was crazy.

The boys found lots of new friends to hang out with. Oscar found his favorite bench that he loves to burrow under. Tucker headed toward his fire hydrant.

Tink was having a super time too. So many big dogs! Check out this big guy. His name is Elvis. Anybody wanna ride the horse? He's so big he scares children!

Tinkerbell kept making sure that we were okay in our fenced area. I guess she was feeling bad for paying so much attention to the poster of Mango instead of us.

What a great day! We were so exhausted afterward that we took ourselves some big, fat naps! Can't wait until we go back again!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

An Old Irish Blessing

May love and laughter light your days,

and warm your heart and home.

May good and faithful friends be yours,

wherever you may roam.

May peace and plenty
bless your world

with joy that long endures.

May all life's passing seasons

bring the best to you and yours!

The Injustice Of It All!!!!

He had to go and do it.
Our [once favorite] Big Boy of the DWB
Mango went and posted a photo of himself wearing nothing but a tool belt.

Tinkerbell quickly downloaded his photo and has is sticky-taped up on her wall by her bed just like a teenager with a poster of her favorite boy band. We've tried to knock some sense into her but she is like a girl experiencing the Beatles Invasion all over again.

This poster is like the equivalent of Farrah Fawcett in nothing but a swimsuit or like the scandalous calendars hung in a mechanics shop above his tool chest. Outrageous!

Tinkerbell refuses to leave her bed. She lies there like a girl in heat fantasizing about him listening to the Jonas Brothers on her I-Pod!

We have had enough! How are two little guys supposed to compete with the Tim-the-tool-man wannabe? We used to look up to him... literally... and then he goes and steals our girls heart filling her head with Barry White-induced hopes and dreams!

These two height-challenged boys are uniting against the injustice of it all.
